The Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering offers diverse academic majors in disciplines that have unquestionable relevance for the future of the Army and the Nation.
The Department's team of highly credentialed faculty and staff want to build, educate, train, and inspire cadets to think globally and geospatially and then apply that understanding to develop culturally appropriate, sustainable solutions.
By learning how to think like this, cadets will be valued members of any team on which they serve – especially when solving some of the world's most challenging problems, including access to clean water, energy security, climate change, disasters, food insecurity, restoring urban infrastructure, or understanding and responding to disease.
Cadets may choose one of four available majors.
The geography minor allows cadets to explore beyond EV203 (Physical Geography) and learn about culture, technology, and environmental development, while still pursuing their primary interest in their academic major.
