West Point's Cyber Team excelled in two major cybersecurity events, demonstrating technical prowess and strategic thinking. At the National Cyber League Individual Competition, CDT Cooper Druzgal placed in the top 0.1%, ranking 11th nationally out of over 8,500 competitors.
The team also earned third place at the Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition (CPTC) Regional Qualifier, where cadets simulated real-world offensive security audits and presented findings to industry-level stakeholders. These achievements highlight the team's cutting-edge expertise and dedication to cybersecurity excellence.
The Army West Point Men's Water Polo Team made waves in their recent competition, showcasing their relentless teamwork and skill in the water. The team triumphed at the New York Division Collegiate Club Championship, securing a spot at the National Collegiate Club Championship. With commanding victories over RPI and Coast Guard - each by more than 10 points - Army advanced to steal the victory from Cornell in overtime. This victory not only established Army as #1 in the New York Division but also placed them 13th heading into the National Tournament.
KARS traveled to Washington, D.C, for a cultural and historical tour in September. The group visited Arlington Cemetery to learn about the Honor Guard and the legacy of service, followed by a visit to the Smithsonian of Asian Art.
Cadets participated in a Chuseok festival and deepened their understanding of Korean heritage. They also connected with alumni and professionals, gaining valuable career insights and advice. This enriching trip honored the past and present, strengthening ties to Korean culture and military service.
The West Point Skeet & Trap Team earned an impressive silver medal at the Upper East Coast ACUI Collegiate Clay Target Championships, triumphing over Navy in the process! Cadet Mason Reslow led the team with a stellar performance, taking individual silver in American Trap and placing 2nd in the men's Classic All American category.
The team excelled in multiple events, securing podium finishes in American Skeet, American Trap, and overall Classic All American team scores. With their sights set on the spring championships in Texas, the team continues to represent West Point with precision and excellence.
The West Point Drill Team honored veterans with a standout series of performances during Veterans Day weekend in Los Angeles. They delivered a dazzling exhibition at several veterans group events and performed a precision routine at the Santa Monica Pier Veterans Appreciation Ceremony, capped by an Army helicopter flyover. The team closed the weekend by representing West Point on a national stage with a routine before the LA Rams vs. Miami Dolphins game at SoFi Stadium, embodying discipline and excellence.
Over Veterans Day weekend, 15 members of the Jewish Chapel Choir traveled to Sarasota, Florida, where they lent their voices to services at Congregation Beth Shalom. Cadets participated in Friday evening services, led the Havdalah service on Saturday, and performed a well-received concert featuring a Q&A session and an armed forces medley honoring veterans. With alumni from the Classes of 1954, 1983, and 1996 joining in to sing the Alma Mater, the trip celebrated the rich connections between West Point and communities nationwide.
West Point’s U.S. Corps of Cadets Pipes and Drums took first place in the Service Band Competition at the New Hampshire Highland Games on Sept. 20-23. The competition took place at Loon Mountain in New Hampshire. The USCC Pipes and Drums also performed in the Grade 5 contest, improving on last year’s scores.
