Biography


CPT Casey Bell was born in Lombard, Illinois. He is a 2010 Distinguished Military Graduate of Tarleton State University, with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as an Infantry Officer. His military education includes the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course, Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, and Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Ranger School, Airborne School, Pathfinder School, Jumpmaster School, and Air Assault School. Additionally, he has an Associates Degree from Central Texas College and a Masters Degree in Education from Columbia University.

CPT Bell’s previous assignments include: Combat Medic Section Leader in 1-325 AIR “Red Falcons”, Fort Bragg, from 1998-2002; Platoon Sergeant in 1-27 IN “Wolfhounds”, Hawaii from 2002-2005; Platoon Sergeant in 2-377 PFAR “Spartan Steel”, Alaska from 2005-2008; Rifle Platoon Leader and Scout Platoon Leader in 1-27 IN “Wolfhounds”, Hawaii from 2011-2014. CPT Bell has deployed with 1-325 AIR to Operation Joint Guardian “Kosovo” – 2001 for 6 months, with 1st Special Forces Group / JSOTF-P, to Operation Enduring Freedom “Philippines” – 2003 for 6 months, with 1-27 IN to Operation Iraqi Freedom 2004-2005 for 15 months, and with 2-377th PFAR to Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2007-2008 for 15 months. Headquarters Company Commander in 1-325 AIR “Red Falcons” from March 2016-March 2017. He assumed command C CO, 1-325 AIR in April of 2017 and deployed to Operation Inherent Resolve, Iraq.

CPT Bell’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star medal (2nd Award), Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (8th award), Army Achievement Medal (9th award), Army Good Conduct Medal (3rd award), Kosovo Campaign Medal with Bronze Star, Iraqi Campaign Medal (5 campaign stars) , Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, Korea Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (5th award), NATO Medal, Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Combat Medical Badge, Expert Field Medical Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Inductee to the Honorary Order of Military Medical Merit and the Order of Saint Maurice.
