CPT Joshua S. Choate grew up in Lapeer, Michigan, he joined the Army in July of 1998 attending basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Eustis, Virginia. CPT Choate attended Liberty University where he graduated with a BA in Business and Communication and later obtained his MA in Management and Leadership from Liberty University. He was commissioned through Officer Candidate School as a Transportation Officer in 2009. His military education includes the Watercraft Engineer AIT and 20 level courses, the Primary Leadership Development Course, the Recruiter and Retention course, the Recruiting Station Commander Course, the Warrant Officer Basic and Marine Engineering Warrant Officer Basic Courses, Officer Candidate School, Basic Officer Leadership Course, Transportation Officer Basic Course, and the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course.
CPT Choate’s positions include service as: Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Battalion Maintenance Officer, and Battalion S4 within the 129th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB) in the 101st Sustainment Brigade (SBDE) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky; the Battalion S3 within the 101st Special Troops Battalion (STB) in the 101st SBDE at Fort Campbell, Kentucky; the Deputy Support Operations Officer within the 18th CSSB in the 16th SBDE in Grafenwoehr, Germany; Commander of the 1st Inland Cargo Transfer Company in the 39th Transportation Battalion (Movement Control) in the 16th SBDE in Grafenwoehr, Germany; Aide-de-Camp for Major General Steven Shapiro, the 21st Theater Sustainment Command-Commanding General in Kaiserslautern, Germany; and Character Education Officer / Instructor for the MX400 Officership course in the Simon Center for the Profession of Military Ethics at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. He has served multiple tours in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom completing his most recent deployment as the Battalion S3 for the 101st STB, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) deployed in support of Regional Command East at the Forward Operating Base Bagram in Afghanistan.

CPT Choate is married to Heidi (Holloway) from Williamsburg, Virginia. They have a 17 yr old daughter Mackenzie, a 15 yr old son Beckham and a 13 yr old daughter Kendall.
