CPT HUNTER RHOADES Instructor Electrical Engineering & Computer Science HUNTER.RHOADES [at] westpoint.edu About Education MAJ Hunter Rhoades is an instructor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the United States Military Academy (USMA).He was commissioned as an infantry officer in 2017 after graduating from USMA with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He served as a platoon leader, company executive officer, and aide-de-camp while assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) from 2018 to 2021. While assigned to 1st BCT, 10th Mountain Division from 2022 to 2024 he served as both a rifle company commander and Headquarters & Headquarters Company (HHC) commander.After command, he completed a master’s degree in computer science at Carnegie Mellon University in 2026 with research focused on distributed systems and small UAS autonomy.
